Hey there, Olde Crone! Will you teach me how to make soap?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been asked that. Teaching a soap making class is too much of a demand on my time right now, but because I live to serve, I’ve done the next best thing:
I’ve written a book.
_Making Soap In Your Own Kitchen_ is a beginner’s guide to soap-making, which is fully illustrated with photographs for each step of the process. You will discover:
* A Brief History of Soap (very brief)
* What lye is and why it is necessary
* Which fats and oils to use
* What materials are needed and where to get them
* The entire process, from weighing fats to mixing lye, to cutting the finished soap into bars
* Essential oils that scent your soaps
* Recipes!
* Packaging options for gifts/sale of your soap
Each and every step has a photograph that shows what to do at that point, so there is no guesswork involved. Advice is included about how to handle lye, the fats that will make your soap moisturizing, and which tools are cheapest and most effective.
If you are the crafty type, and just won’t be able to rest until you know exactly how to make soap, go to http://www.soapcrone.com/ebook.php and start your new crafty addiction today!

Red Wine for Breakfast by Raven West
Red Wine For Breakfast stars Jenny Reed, a 34-year-old born-again Californian from New York, who plays macho Monopoly by her own rules. Winner take all. And she had it all: the number one morning radio show on KKTM-FM in Los Angeles, a wonderful best friend, and a nice noncommittal affair with the station owner, Brian Allen.
Her career was all she needed. Success was all she ever wanted. Until Johnny King became her on-air partner and challenged her to play his own game. The day she beat him was the day she gained his respect. It was also the day she lost her best friend in an apparent suicide … or was it murder?
Real life radio personalities and a front page drug scandal bring realism to a fictional novel set in Los Angeles where radio stations change formats like socks, and jobs are as secure as houses built on the San Andreas Fault.
In a business drowning in testosterone, Red Wine for Breakfast is the story of strong, determined New Yorker who has to shake off the laid-back attitude of LA to overcome the challenges of an industry that threatens to turn her off and a man who only wants to turn her on.

Between My Thighs by Naija
Her love was to die for, but her man wouldn’t abide
When thirty-year-old Raquel Howard graduated from college back in 1999 with her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, she promised herself that the next man that ventured between her thighs would be equivalent to her tight ass credentials.
Tired of sexing brothers who had no business between her thighs, going out of her way to please her man, Raquel thought she’d never find a love of her own. Vibrant and secure in her sexuality, one man couldn’t satisfy her sexual crave – until she met Troy Thomas, owner of a multi-million dollar corporation and ex-lover of her girlfriend Dallas Jones.
Troy, a smooth-operator and established businessman was exactly what Raquel needed to tame the insatiable desire to constantly have a piece of good-loving inside her, but when love, lust, and lies collide, violence sparks and a triangle of secrets are revealed.
Naija delivers a climatic, mysterious, and page-turning spinner in this erotic tale.

Spanish Flyy by Naija
Dr. Raquel Howard is living the glamorous life, spending money she coldly inherited after the demise of her fiancé who wouldn’t abide by her love. A twist of fate lands her in the arms of a new love–Montez Santana and this time it’s the real deal as every inch of her unquenchable thirst is stratified. With secrets, wealth, and a hidden identity to kill for, Raquel finds herself on the brink of insanity, questioning the motives of those around her. She keeps her friends close and enemies closer, never knowing from which source the betrayal will emerge. But her mind plays tricks on her, memories from her past haunt her, and it seems there is something or someone she’s forgotten. Her boyfriend, Santana–who has an undeniable history of family drama–is once again struggling to conceal his own dysfunction. With family secrets that would surely keep him single, he has to choose between protecting them or his girl. Raquel begins to learn all isn’t perfect in paradise when a simple reunion sparks a catastrophic chain of events, her drug-addicted “twin” sister comes to town, and her therapy sessions stop working. Spanish Flyy is an addictive, hot, and sexy spin through scandal and mischievous love that will leave every reader aroused for more.

IF THE WRONG OPPORTUNITY CAME ALONG AT THE RIGHT TIME…WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Santee Mitchell seems to keep coming up short in life. At least that’s how it seems in her mind. Growing up she constantly played second best to her older sister Sonya, and in adulthood, the patterned painfully continues. She’s stuck with a two-timing, drug-dealing boyfriend, while her sister lucked up and hooked a professional ball player. Her money is always running short, when it ran at all. The last straw comes in the form of an eviction notice coupled with an ill-timed pregnancy. Determined to turn her luck around, as well as put some money in the bank, Santee turns to her friend Monique and is immediately hypnotized by the sparkle of her diamond encrusted world. But what she doesn’t realize is that help from Monique comes with a price. A price that not even Santee is willing to pay. Haunted by a fire that still burns for her ex and driven by a wanton lust for a trick turned savior, Santee’s plan starts to unravel and it may be too late to right her wrongs when Monique turns up dead and she is fingered for the gruesome crime; revealing a secret that changes her forever and forcing her to look for answers in the one place she’s tried to avoid – inside herself.
“…A page turner that will have the reader anticipating what the next page has to offer and what secrets will be revealed. This book illustrates how desperate a person can become to fulfill voids in their lives …a novel full of intrigue, mystery and a plot that is not lacking. D.L. has crafted a masterpiece using her literary talent that is raw, new and a breath of fresh air.” — Sharon Russ, Co-Founder Words of Inspiration Book Club

Official Apex Reviews Rating: 5 STARS
Making It On My Own tugs at the heart in so many ways that it’s impossible to give it ample praise. The most admirable quality of Marlene’s storytelling is the masterful way that she gives a human face to the vague world of homelessness. As Shay meets and learns the stories of other women in predicaments similar to hers, the reader vicariously learns to rid him/herself of any preconceived notions of homeless people, specifically the concept that they’re lazy, shiftless, or choose to be so afflicted in life. Marlene’s narrative quickly reminds the reader that his/her own personal situation can also change without warning, and that being thankful for the security of our own lives should be the top priority of our every waking moment.

“DRAYTON CLARKE, TOOLS OF THE TRADE”

Killing for money just doesn’t seem that damned wrong.
DRAYTON CLARKE, TOOLS OF THE TRADE, is a hard hitting, gutter reality of a young boy’s struggle to survive the roughest city in the bowels of Urban America aptly coined, Hell Town, The Forgotten Hood.
After twelve year old Drayton’s battered, unconscious body is discovered, he’s befriended by Alton Thurston III; distinguished gentleman and untouchable man of means. Alton sees to the prodigy’s stellar education and vast tactical training. Years later, he inducts his fifteen year old protege into the army of Architects; covert agents who kill to exact proper design. His specialty—eradicating pedophiles.
